Jody Pollock

Jody is a Senior Project Manager at Fundación IDEA, one of the first public policy think tanks in Mexico. She leads the projects on urban development and housing. She is the principal author of “México Compacto: The conditions for an intelligent urban densification in Mexico,” published in February 2015 with the Housing Commission of the Mexican Senate. She is currently working on a comprehensive analysis of the state and municipal regulation on urban development and housing in Mexico.

She has previously worked in the public sector and with various NGOs in the US, Mexico, Colombia and Central America. She has focused her work on public policy for equitable development in Latin America, with an emphasis on urban governance, violence and conflict, migration and gender. Jody has a Master in City Planning with a specialization in International Development from MIT, and a B.A. in Urban Studies and Hispanic Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
